My eyes had been opened to something new,
a world unfamiliar to me.
I suppose my existence began at that precise moment.
The air was filled with a big noise.
I felt heaven was going down upon the earth.
I only felt a mystic terror and eternal harmony.
In the last conscious moment
preceding the attack I said to myself:
I would give my whole life for this one instant!
My mind and heart were flooded with light.
All anxieties were relieved, resolved in lofty calm,
full of ecstatic devotion and the knowledge
of the ultimate cause of things.
Next moment black darkness,
real death came and then went away.
There shall be no more time!
